Darn this place is expensive!!
I forgot to add that this is one expensive place. I went to the market to buy some items and spent so much dough. I have to stop converting everything to $USD (in my head) when I make purchases. Otherwise, I would never buy anything and starve to death!! But, it's truly all good. The experience of living in another country....PRICELESS
Expanding my network
So, before I came to London, my friend Joseph made me open up a Facebook account. At first, I was like I am too darn old to be on Facebook. Well, I am man enough to admit that I was wrong. It was actually a good move. Joseph introduced me to several of his friend from London through Facebook and they all seem like pretty solid people. I have also reached out to a couple Frat brothers who live in London as well as the President of One Hundred Black Men (OHBM) London. I am anxious to get active with OHBM London. Unfortunately, the nearest chapter of Alpha (Theta Theta Lambda) is in Frankfurt, Germany. But, while I am here, I definitely plan on venturing to Germany to check out the bruhs. You know the eyes of Alpha are everywhere...lol. I am slowly but surely expanding my network because I am determined to "kill it" here in London.
Stay tuned folks!!

Frat, sorry that I dind't catch up with you before you skipped town, well skipped across seas. Glad to know that you arrived safe and glad to hear that you seem to be enjoying your new gig so far. I'll be checking in on the blog to keep up with you.
Do you thing out there. Take advantage of the wonderful opportunity that has been presented to you. We'll hold it down state side and you hold it down over there. Just make sure you remember to look the opposite way when you cross the street there. They drive a little funny there. Everything is backwards. Gotta get used to it!!!
All is generally well here on this end. Wifey is hanging in there and being a trooper. We'll be in touch. Stop converting everything to US dollars because it will drive you crazy. Just be glad you're not down working Wall Street now, it's a mad house as you proabably know.
Stay up kid!!!

Uhh ... Kenyatta, did you forget to send a memo to your Chi-town peeps that you were headed to London??? I'll answer for you - YES!
Congrats on the new gig. My cousin lives in London (not sure exactly where) so I'll have to pick his brain to help you find the hot spots. He's lived there for several years now with his family. I'll e-mail my 100 questions to you.
Again, congrats. Your 'Skegee Buddy is proud of you. I guess that means you won't make it to homecoming next month, huh? :)
Peace & Blessings,
Rhonda
This too exciting!
You are going to push me to go ahead and open a facebook account.
What's up Kenyatta! Glad to see that you made it there safely. Can't wait to get over there to see you. Abebi and I have a friend, Nasra, who live's in London I would like you to meet. She is cool people. She works for the transit system and will definately come in handy if you get lost. Can't wait to read your next blog.
